I have a ten-minute playlist on my computer of late Beethoven quartets, and I have taken to sitting and minding my breathing while listening to that play list at the middle of the day.
It doesn’t feel like I think meditation ought to feel (for one thing, I am very close to falling asleep), but it does make the rest of the day more bearable.

I will have to try several things. I tried focusing on breathing, and, although the experience was relaxing, I was wrestling with an unmindful mind-full.
Some book I once saw made very clear that there was no point in focusing on doing meditation well…just do it every day. We’ll see how it goes.
