Complete "A door into Hindi"

मैँ हिनदी ाभि थोरा सोमोशता हुं। ाभि मैं काम लिखना साका हूं।

I am in the middle of chapter 8 of Snell and Weightman’s “Teach yourself Hindi”, which I recommend highly.

I need to make more time to watch bollywood. Ram Gopal ke Sholay comes out in two weeks. Yay!

I have three resources that I’m using.

1. Snell’s Teach Yourself Hindi; (18 lessons)
2. The website A door into Hindi (24 lessons, some not online).
3. Rosetta Stone’s Hindi course (93 lessons.)

So, a natural plan would be to progress through all three courses on an 18 week schedule. That gives me a completion date of June 27. At that point, I would not say I have learned Hindi, but I will be ready to hire a conversation tutor for a year and look for a course in India.

So that’s a lesson a week in Snell and ADIH, and 5 lessons a week in Rosetta Stone.

Let’s see how I progress. If My progress is linear, I will be ready to get my first pen pal in May or so.
