I’ve chosen the first language for this technique: Hindi.

My objective is to complete “Teach Yourself Hindi” (Teach Yourself Books), and be able to understand half the dialogue of a Bollywood movie (Sholay). Once I’ve finished the book (target date is May 1), I will hire a tutor once a week. After that, the objective is to read elementary books in Hindi, eventually doing a six week course (through North Carolina State), either in the Summer of 2008 or 2009.
