Dog. I will not go into all the reasons why I prefer dogs … but, rather, I’ll tell you why I hate, Hate, HATE cats.
1. They’re snooty.
2. They want love when they want love and not a moment sooner or a moment longer.
3. They leave hair everywhere.
4. I cannot stand the sound of purring or meowing.
5. Their claws are entirely too sharp.
6. I just don’t like the way they look (yes, there are some really dumb looking dogs out there, too).
7. The list goes on and on and on …
I know cat-people are not going to like this, but it is an eternal question, isn’t it? Like Coke vs. Pepsi, right vs. wrong, etc., etc., etc.
:)

I like briefs. So, it is fortunate that my husband wears briefs.
I like that they are more fitting, so you can see the contour of “things.” :)

Always, always, always non-smoking … and it has nothing to do with being pregnant. Even when I was a smoker, I would never go to a bar that allowed smoking (when smoking in a place of business was still legal in Oregon). It just stinks, stinks, stinks and is gross, gross, gross!!!

What is your favortie smell? Sound? Sight? Taste? Feeling?
I love the smell of my son’s hair after he just had a bath. I love the smell of hot, wet pavement.
I live for my son’s laugh.
My son’s smiling face is my favorite thing to look at.
Right now my favorite thing to taste is my pineapple upside down cake.
The best feeling in the world is cuddling with my son.
:) I know it seems like I am obsessed with my son, but I just really love being his mother and he is such a joy to have around!!! :)

I simply cannot answer this. Two and a half months ago I could have answered quickly, loudly and with more certainty than I have ever answered anything in my entire life …
BOY!!!BOY!!! BOY!!!
But on October 17, I found out that the little bundle of joy growing inside my belly is a little girl. I was hoping for another boy, but when I was told the baby was a girl, I wasn’t even slightly disappointed.
Now I have gone pink and ruffle and lace crazy!!!
If we’re talking about dogs? I want male dogs!
If we’re talking about friends? I prefer to have male friends!
So, if I HAVE to make a choice, I’m not going to say “boy” ... I’m going to say “male.” :)

Would you like to share with me your favorite recipe?
Creamy Macaroni and Cheese by Paula Deen on the Food Network
Ingredients
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (an 8-ounce box isn’t quite 2 cups)
4 tablespoons (1/2 stuck) butter, cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups (about 10 ounces) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
Boil the macaroni in a 2 quart saucepan in plenty of water until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. In a medium saucepan, mix butter and cheese. Stir until the cheese melts. In a slow cooker, combine cheese/butter mixture and add the eggs, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well. Then add drained macaroni and stir again. Set the slow cooker on low setting and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

What is your favorite part of being a parent?
I have two favorite parts … so hard to narrow it down to just one thing … wait!!! Ok, three things. :)
1. Excitement. I love how excited my son gets about EVERYTHING!!!
Mama: “Would you like some toast?” Like he has had every day for breakfast for HALF his life.
Toddler: SQUEAL … then … “WOW!!!!!!!”
2. Watching him learn. It is amazing how quickly his little brain learns things … such a sponge. Most times we tell him what something is and he will remember what it is the next day. He repeats everything constantly … yes, we have had to watch our swearing. Unfortunately, it is so cute and funny to hear him say a naughty word. It is so hard not to laugh and, therefore, encourage the swearing. And I love how he can be totally entertained by a zipper for 15 minutes … pulling it up and down, trying to figure it all out.
3. Love. I have never loved another person as much as I love my little boy. I am constantly amazed at how I can just sit there and look at him and melt. He is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me and I cannot wait to meet his little sister in March!!!

I drink coffee in the morning. I suppose I do it because it is what I have always done … as an adult anyway. :) For a few months every few years I will switch to green tea in the morning, but I will, inevitably, always switch back.
Every few months or so, I will go through a tea-drinking phase during the day. During these phases I will drink cups and cups of tea a day. Peppermint iced tea is my favorite … so cool and so refreshing … even in the winter!!!
