Last night I saw the “Scarecrows in The Garden” show at ABG. I love this show. This year there were 112 scarecrow sculptures but the place was slammed with people so I did not get to see all 112.

I took my 15 year old neighbor to Dragon *Con last Saturday. It’s a huge convention for comics, science fiction, fantasy, and movies. It’s held every year at a hotel about a mile from my house. There is a parade and costume contests and tons of authors and stars from tv shows and movies. We got autographs on his comic books and met a few writers.

This weekend, I went to the Monet exhibit at the High Museum. “Monet Water Lilies” is on exhibit until August 23rd. I enjoyed this show because it wasn’t crowded and I was able to spend time actually sitting with the pieces.

My third arts festival this year, and I think my favorite. It was not crowded at all and the tents were lined up on Virginia Ave and open to the playgrounds. I did see artists that were showing at the other two festivals, so I took photos of work I had not seen yet. I bought a bright blue birdhouse to add to my collection and that makes me happy :)

Lunch again w/ Gbear! http://www.43things.com/person/gbear
I get tons of grief about my crazy diet so I thought I would write this up. I had possibly the best lunch I have ever had in Atlanta at the newest vegetarian restaurant in town. I can seriously see myself eating here every week.

It was good to get together today with Gbear (http://www.43things.com/person/gbear) and go to the Inman Park Festival. They have hands down the best arts and crafts booths I have
ever seen. There were tons of bands and sidewalk musicians too. Here is the link to the neighborhood. http://www.inmanparkfestival.org/festival.php
I want to say to my 43t friends that I appreciate everyday the support you give me.

I walked through this exhibit today. I was very impressed with all of the work in the show and the prices were really low. Unfortunately, everything I loved was either NFS or sold :(

I haven’t been to this thing in years because it is usually insane. But this year, it was not crowded at all and I parked only 3 blocks away! The festival includes artists, music and food, there were so many artist tents I didn’t get to see them all.

This morning a friend and I went to Kudzu Antiques Market. It is a fantastic place! I love all the booths of clothing, old windows, bottles and signs. They also have an area with folk art.
