MAKE IT THROUGH ARMY BASIC TRAINING!!!!

And so it begins, goodbye for now.

Only 6 days to go! This month flew by.

well, I got two more weeks to go. I just got back from San Francisco and of course I didnt excercise much and I ate a whole lot of bad stuff, so its back to the gym and trying to eat less and healthy.

Well I ship in 24 days! I’m really excited and curious to see what it’s going to be like. My recruiter left for Virginia today so I wont be seeing him until I get back from all the training. He said I was all squared away though and that I better get honor grad in basic or he’ll stab me with a pen. He’s a cool guy. Anyhow I’m also concerned about my knee there’s still a dull pain in the back so I havent been running. Also last night I managed to tear my thigh muscle again trying to do the exact same exercise that tore it in the first place. I shouldn’t have done that but hopefully it will heal up sufficiently. I don’t want to wash out becuase of stupid little injuries. Wish me luck.

Today’s the end of my illustrious 4 year career at Starbucks. I will miss it to a degree. Anyhow 31 day countdown to basic.

Today I wrote my 2 week notice for my manager, I’ll turn it in tomorrow and will be one step closer to getting to basic. I’m starting to get nervous.

On July 1st, 2008 I will be shipping out to Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. I want to do more than just survive basic, I want to excel. I hope I can do this.
