My review of the Oj Simpson book...if...."I DID IT"

okay…i read two books cover to cover last night. Couldn’t put them down. One of which, was “I did it” by oj simpson.

For those of us, who were cerebrally with it 13 years ago, when this murder trial – the “trial of the century” delivered the most horrendously erroneous “not guilty” verdict of all times…there’s no wonder, that a book such as this, would stir up the acrimony all over again…and draw us back to the need to feel some resolve from this social injustice. Well at least, that’s what drew me to be a purveyor of this so called “confession”...

For the most part, it was what I expected it to be..and that is Oj’s overwhelming need to set the record straight as to who was to blame for the fail of his marriage – and his ego’s cry to absolve himself as being seen as a batterer; a wife abuser.

The only tidbit of unexpected knowledge, was how he described the events of the night of June 12, where he was alone with Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Oj revealed what could have conceptually been his ‘motive’ for going to Nicole’s condo in the first place and subsequent unravelling of his mental state and where from his stance, “something went horribly wrong” – he lost control, and 2 people were dead.

That chapter, was eventful only in the sense, that for me, it provided details, which were plausible enough to understand his motive; however, without that revelation, the physical evidence from the trial 13 years ago, was ALREADY enough for me, to know for sure he’d done it – regardless of how our justice system, and our right to a trial of our peers, can sometimes fail – the victims of crimes and their families – and society in general.

Overall, here’s the BEST part of purchasing and reading that book. I CONTRIBUTED, $24.95 towards the civil judgment originally issued to Ron Goldman’s family – a judgment set at $19m and now with interest, has cumulated to $38m. Which Oj simpson has spent years of fabricating records, creating false corporations, etc. to AVOID, having to take ANY responsibility for his actions. So I’m pleased that I was able to throw something into the pot – for them to reap some sort of penance and closure for their loss.

To that end, I would really only recommend it for that reason.
