surf

Went down for one night with the family a couple weeks ago. That would definitely be the place to start surfing, if I weren’t scared to death.

I went kayaking last week, which doesn’t really add up to surfing, but we saw a big seal in the river. I was freaked. Imagine how I’d feel out in the ocean.

So, we both bought kayaks (for our anniversary) and want to head to the coast when we get a chance. Not the type of surfing I was thinking of, but it’ll do. Could we be any cuter? I have to remember how lucky I am when I start into the “poor me” mood. What’s so bad about my life? Nada.

This might be hard, because I love the ocean but also fear it. Actually I fear the creatures in it. Being able to surf would not only accompish a goal, but conquer a fear that I can’t put my finger on. Sharks, maybe?
