I never idolized athletes and actors as my friends did when we were young. I was more business-driven. I preferred Warren Buffett to Michael Jordan, and Bill Gates to Brad Pitt or Sylvester Stallone.
What I did appreciate about the actors was their ability to draw on our emotions, despite the fact that they were not in the same room as we were, didn’t know us, and had no idea of our current state.
Watching the best actors do what they do is a real treat. To capture human essence and re-create it with seemingly no effort is a skill that I would love to develop.
I can’t express exactly why I think I would do a good job, but I do. I have some kind of confidence that I could act with believability. I suppose there’s only one way to find out if I’m right. Who will give me a shot?
