Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin

Another young adult book. This one was pretty bad, but at least I was able to finish it in one day!

Running Out of Time by Margaret Peteson Haddix

I was home for the holidays and had to resort to reading some of the books I had from my teaching days. This was a book that my fourth and fifth graders seemed to enjoy. It was a great story. If you liked The Village I would recommend this one.

All about Lulu by Jonathan Evison
dumb!

Loverboy by Victoria Redel

These snow days are a big help in getting closer to this goal. Problem is, I’ve got a bunch of books on hold at the library – but I can’t get there… I’ve only got one more book at home.

The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond Of Matches by Gaétan Soucy

I picked this one up because it looked short. It was a mind-bending read. I still have quite a few questions that I don’t think were answered.

OK. I’m giving in and starting to count the books I’ve listed to in the car. I was trying to reach this goal with reading 52 books, but seeing as I have so little time, I’ll count some audio books too.

The Bartimaeus Series is absolutely wonderful to listen to. Simon Jones, the reader, is fantastic. I’m sure it’s just as fun to read the book yourself. I’ve listened to the first two books
#46: The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud
#47: The Golem’s Eye by Jonathan Stroud

Perks of Being a Wallflower
by Stephen Chbosky

I really enjoyed this book. It was a great little slice of high school misery mixed with the influential literature teenagers often read.

Arab in America by Toufic El Rassi

Definitely worth reading.

Her Last Death by Susanna Sonnenberg

Very interesting. Her writing style is pretty chaotic. But, I was fully engaged through to the end.

I have to admit that I picked up this book at random at the library. the room that the girl is standing in on the cover picture looks just like my master bedroom. We just painted it that color and put up new white baseboards!

The Island of Lost Girls
by Jennifer McMahon

Not too terrible.
Not too impressive.
Quick read!
