The Azores are Portuguese islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. When I was in the Air Force, I was at Lajes Field on Terceira Island for 18 months. Shortly after I arrived there, I found out that I was pregnant. I gave birth to my daughter on May 24, 1991, so she is now 14. I would love to take her back to her birthplace someday.
