This book is not worth an actual read….better read this review, and you’ll get far more info than you’ll get from the book. My favorite quote from the review is, “Shields’s biography is noteworthy only because it is the first. That a better one will emerge is inevitable so long as To Kill a Mockingbird remains compulsory reading for every twelve-year-old in America.” Although, I must say, this nation’s twelve year olds are not (in general) up to reading TKAM… It would be more like 14 year olds. Besides, if we love Harper Lee, then let’s just leave her alone, as that is what she seems to want!
