63. aerogramme

spelled either Aerogramme or Aerogram, it’s a lovely word for a wonderful type of old-fashioned letter…

I remember with fondness my parents welcoming the thin soft blue envelopes loaded with their precious cargo – words from back home.

62. deep

deep is one of those simple words that just is.

so sweet.
so succinct.
so true.
so satisfying.
so difficult to describe without using the word itself.
so here goes.
so deep.

61. mayhem

while I might not enjoy mayhem itself (usually), i do love the word, and how descriptive it is!

60. massive

Judging from this entry, I do like this word quite a bit!

Go figure!

59. yo

yo, hey youz guyz. we like to say yo.

:-D

btw, i just realized that if i had a smartphone, this list would have been completed long ago… because i so often think of good words for this list while waiting for the bus or the train! but then by the time i get me in front of a computer, it’s zapped away.

58. yikes

i say this word a lot… it helps me say i’m worried, but in an almost funny way.

yikes!

i better get back to work!

57. settimana

So, I learned this word from Zanna Campanula today; settimana means week in Italian…

:-)

and yes, it made me smile when I read her entry.

and now, I should prolly get back to, erm… working. After all it’s only lunedì… can i afford to lollygag?

;-)

56. whimsical

an example:

55. awkward

the word itself is visually onomatopoeic.

i mean, look at it!

it’s beautifully awkward.

54. stochasticity

I learned this word while listening to Radiolab today on WNYC

I love their definition for it:

Stochasticity… is just a wonderfully slippery and smarty-pants word for randomness.
