lessons! 21 hours ago

i’ve been having a lesson everyday now that the boy will be home for a few months. It’s so much fun to play and so exciting to think about the prospect of taking part in the fun of playing with our own bluegrass group in the future. Of course, that’s a long while off, but it’s very fun to learn in the meantime.

lessons! 2 weeks ago

when we have (or make) time for it. the boy is giving me lessons. he is teaching me the theory along with the basic movements because he wants me to learn to play the instrument and not just to play a few songs- so that i’ll know enough soon to be able to feel out compositions by myself. by choice of course i would have just gone with the quicker, easier way- but that’s why i value his personality so highly- he’s always suggesting the harder, more beneficial in the long run way.
