... “The Last Continent”. Usually I don’t like the Rincewind novels as much, but this one was fun, probably because it involved Ridcully and the other UU wizards too. And I just loved the Priscilla, Queen of the Desert reference.

... just finished “Jingo” and “Going Postal”. I especially enjoyed the latter—I’ll never think the same way about stamps again. Not sure if it counts, but I also read “Where’s My Cow?” during our last trip to Barnes and Noble.
Turned out both of these featured witches, which was fun. They also both had the Nac Mac Feegle, though I think when Pratchett wrote “Carpe Jugulum” he was still figuring out what those folk should look like.
On a side note, while my wife and I were in Paris we did a little book-shopping, and ran across French editions of some of the Discworld novels. One wonders if those cover artists had actually read the books—Nanny Ogg looked like what Pratchett had described, but none of the other witches did.
... “A Hat Full of Sky” (we’d been waiting for the paperback version) and “Carpe Jugulum”. I’ll probably take one or both of these to read while we’re in Paris.
Finished “Soul Music” yesterday, which wasn’t as good as some of the others. I found that having so many movers and shakers made things more disjointed than usual - it had that “Meanwhile, back at the university” feel - and the ending was a bit Death ex machina. Still fine and fun reading, though, with many, many punny references to rock n’ roll.
Finished “Guards, Guards” yesterday. I loved finding out how Vimes and Sybil got started. I also enjoyed the many, many puns and all the movie references, especially the ones which Nobby and Colon kept misquoting.
If Wikipedia’s entry on Discworld (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discworld) is accurate, I’ve read most of this series to date. I’m working on “Guards! Guards!” right now, and have yet to tackle “Equal Rites”, “Sourcery”, “Soul Music”, “Interesting Times”, “Jingo”, “The Last Continent”, “Carpe Jugulum”, “The Last Hero”, “A Hat Full of Sky”, and “Going Postal”.
Actually, now that I’ve made a list, I sure don’t feel anywhere near close to finishing this. Still, I’m not doing too poorly considering that I just got into Pratchett a couple of years ago.
