I have been doing it, but now my New York tour is finished. Very sadly, I leave fair Brooklyn in about 4 and half weeks. I am sad to say goodbye to New York, and am hoping this is not the end of us.

This was interesting. They had a stag and blue films exhibit. I never thought I would be standing next to strangers in a museum setting watching ancient, grainy filmed porn from the 20’s thru 50’s on exhibit.
This was my second broadway show—it was really fun! We had great seats in the 5 row from the stage. At one point the actors came down the main aisle and I got kissed by a puppet :)
Went to the Guggenheim finally. They are renovating the exterior, and I was disappointed because I couldn’t appreciate the famous silhouette of the building as it is shrouded in plastic and scaffolding, but inside I felt like I was in a cathedral. It was beautiful, full of afternoon light. My favorite piece was a surprise for me, a pastel of a reclining woman by Munch!
L&B Spumoni Gardens on a Saturaday night sat next to a young Italian gentleman in a baby blue silk shirt, gold link bracelet and pinky ring. Brooklyn is so different block to block.
Went to brunch in Brooklyn Heights then walked the promenade. It was a rainy day, but reasonably warm for January. My girlfriend and I were talking about all the shots we’ve seen in movies looking at Manhattan from where we were standing. It is probably one of the most used locations in New York. Just as we said that we saw a french crew setting up shots toward the brooklyn bridge. I took a picture of what they were pointing at: The bridge and the empire state in the distance, swathed in cloud.
of a million people? On a whim we went to Times square. Arrived at Bryant Park at about 11:15 and used our secret agent skills to see the shiny ball drop. After all the years of watching it from TAPE in california, I saw it LIVE with a million other drunk tourists (and loved it!).
My girlfriend and I met her parents for dinner in mid-town tonight. We went to Renee Pujol which my girlfriend and I kept pronouncing in such a thick obnoxious French accent (an offensive American impersonation of) that the name of the restaurant was no longer intelligible. Roonaypoojooe said really fast without the emphasis on the consonants.
After dinner we decided since we were in mid-town anyway that we’d walk to Times Square. From there we walked to Radio City Music hall, then off to Rockefeller Center to see the ice skaters, the tourists, and the Christmas tree.
They have re-opened the observation deck at Rockefeller center, so we paid the $14 dollars each to go to the top (crazy!—but as we were playing tourists we had to pay up). The view was frightening, but immensely beautiful since it was such a clear night. We could see all the way to New Jersey and the George Washington Bridge. The empire state building was right in from of us (see the next pic) but as we just had a camera phone the perspective is all off.
It was really cold, but I loved seeing all the snow left over from the storm last night blanketing the city and was very glad to live here.
Our next goal is strolling passed the Christmas windows.
