I go out of my way to eat organic. I haven’t had “false food” in years. I drink soft drinks sparingly and consider them a desert drink, not a staple of my diet. In general I avoid most processed foods… at the very least products with ingredients that I can’t pronounce or know they are not good (e.g. partially hydrogenized oils, the various forms of MSG, apartame, sucralose, etc.). Water is my beverage of choice. I mind my carbs, fat and portion sizes. Some people would think I’ve given up the good things in life, but I’d have to disagree. I’ve given up junk and discovered some of the tastiest that others miss out on.
By no means am I done with this task. It’s become an attitude and state of mind that shapes my daily life.
