Email is great, but there is something about a letter in your hand.

There is the anticipation as you look at the return address to see who it is from or try to recognise the hand wrting. The excitiment of ripping the envelope open, the feel of the paper between your fingers. Reading and re-reading in a different location. With a cup of tea, or without. There is just something about a letter in hand.
