I got a raise so I am now able to save 20% of my salary again in my 401k plan. I am excited and I feel I can mark this goal complete now that I’ve saved enough in my emergency fund and my regular savings is doing well.
I got a raise so I am now able to save 20% of my salary again in my 401k plan. I am excited and I feel I can mark this goal complete now that I’ve saved enough in my emergency fund and my regular savings is doing well.
I am saving more because I was fully participating in my 401k plan, but I’m re-routing cash to a savings account so I can re-do the kitchen in my condo. I just now have to discipline myself not to spend it on anything else. And then after all that, I’ll think about moving again.
$1121.21 as of today. Hooray for ING Direct! I managed to bank an extra $100.00 last month and the $2 and change is all interest. I’m trying to save 30% of my salary now per month so that I can actually move back to California.
I’m back down to $1018.61 in liquid assets today. I was closer to $1500 last weeek, but I drew down because my credit card bills went out of control this holiday season.
$2017.34 as of December 1st. The last deposit will go in that day. I will have reached this goal for 2005. Yay!
I used to have a goal to earn more money, so I found a new job.
At this new job I signed up for the 401k plan and I am maxing out my contribution of 20%. This is the first time I’ve ever been able to do this. I’m very excited.
I could retire this goal when that first contribution goes into my account, but I think I will keep this until I meet my cash savings goal of $2000.
In my last entry, I set a goal of $2000 in the bank. Today’s balance in savings, $916.01. Of course, I am also a dipshit and overdrew one of my checking accounts by accident. sigh
So now I wait for the interest to grow and this first paycheck to start rolling in.
See goal #19, move back to CA. I have now found a suitable motivation for this. Target is now $2000 cash.
