Just the other day I went browsing a dating website.
Although I certainly don’t see this as the ideal way or most fun way to find a girlfriend, I give myself excuses. First of all, I tell myself that the situation I’m here means I can’t just leave the place and go out at night or socialise more. Secondly, over time being single and alone alot, in a foreign environment, I’ve lost a lot of the confidence I originally had.
Last but not least, I’m just not sure whether I’m ready to have a relationship right now.
But when I surfed the dating website and filled in my profile, I got a match. And yes it sure seemed like a match too, personality, interests, beliefs etc. It would have been choice if only it weren’t for the three excuses I just named.
Therefore I will today drag this goal to top10. Not necessarily because I expect to achieve this goal as one of the next 10, but because I realise I need to give it a bit more attention.
In the mean time I deleted my profile because I couldn’t really do anything like messaging. I do sincerely hope this girl sticks around till I got myself sorted out!
Though in saying that I realise there are always going to be issues and part of the reason of getting a girlfriend is to have a soulmate to get through these together.
