I’ve also come to discover that my practical work experience is not according to the rules, hence I now need another 11 weeks minimum of experience at a different position/firm I’m at at the moment. This is a bigger problem than the subject I failed since that does allow me to continue what I’m doing. The only option I see is that I take annual leave in winter and try to work it out that way.

I got results in 15 november and found I had failed another subject, which is now the last one I need to pass to complete academic requirements. Next post up in about a year time!
I did my last exam this morning.
I’m pretty happy about that and feel confident enough that I’ve now passed all academic requirements but the work experience reports. Which I’m working on right now and expect to finish tomorrow morning.
OK..
project is handed in but I’m by no means proud of it.
though I don’t normally intend to be so either.
last few hours were tough and confrontating
I now can only hope it will be accepted so I may move on and prepare for the final examination of this cornerstone piece of my degree.
This will be my last entry.
It is 0 days, 4 hours, 40 minutes and 56 seconds until Monday, 6 October 2008 at 4:15:00 p.m.
Work rate 10/10
Progress: Insufficient
I feel somewhat disappointed in the total number of effective working hours I have been able to put in on Friday and Saturday. Nothing is going to discourage me in finishing the report to the maximum standard that I can given the time limit. I’m concerned that quality measures are going to be inadequate unless I start finalising all I have now.

OK pressure is right up there again..
After a too long break (2 hours) I’m back at work and getting a little jumpy, but hey, I’ll cope.
Work rate will be back up there now I’ve just fought off a sleep attack.
Progress is up there too but I’m already expecting the overall quality of the report to be average/poor at due time.
The porridge was disgusting and I still feel sick.
It’s now 30 minutes later and I’m still slowly eating my way through the porridge… I’m really starting to think that maybe this was not a smart move.
So while browsing around wasting time while eating, I came across the Golden Spurtle World Porridge Making Championship..

I don’t think I’d do very well, I keep things very basic… lately I’ve been using a microwave to heat up the rolled oats with standard milk to become quite thick. Then I use water to mix it up so it’s at the right temperature and “viscosity”.
I’ve actually updated my countdown counter to deduct time that I cannot spend working on the project.
......
OOH WHAT’S THAT SMELL…. OH I KNOW, IT’S MY DEGREE COMING CLOSER AND CLOSER… SAAWEEEET!!
oh by the way I just picked up an interesting fact while googling for a suitable pic for this entry:
Our sense of smell becomes stronger when we are hungry!
It is 0 days, 10 hours, 54 minutes and 27 seconds until Monday, 6 October 2008 at 5:00:00 p.m.
Working environment:
Computer lab with 1 other student and talkback radio on background, 50 minutes from sunrise.
Progress is good but no calculations have been made yet whether I’m on schedule, which leaves me a bit concerned.
Workrate is 9/10 with fewer breaks than on saturday.
I feel good though the 40 hours old porridge is not very enjoyable, it’s just that I don’t like to waste any food…
I’ve been clear thinking and have not come across any problems that I couldn’t quickly solve, I believe now this is because I’m well rested. Decision making capability goes down enormously with sleep deprivation.
SAAWEEEET!
It is 0 days, 14 hours, 58 minutes and 40 seconds until Monday, 6 October 2008 at 4:15:00 p.m.
Working environment with one fellow student awake and one snoring away quite happily. Talback radio on background.
Progress – Way behind schedule but having high hopes for high average work rate for the coming 15 hours.
After a lazy sunday, I have no regrets of turning back to work, missing out on otherwise pretty unproductive hours.
I slept in to noon, went for a 3 hour run in the hills, slept some more, went to church, ate food and tossed and turned in bed for a while.
Local time is 1.15 am, work due to be finished at 4.15 pm.
I feel good, though somewhat disappointed about not following this utter determination I claimed to have in an earlier post.
For some reason I just got a very convincting feeling about working this Sunday, even though my work rate and state of mind were ready for some productive hours.
Once I came home that night though, I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed.
