i never imagined that only certain earrings sizes and styles enhance my face. i was very excited about wearing hoop earrings all my life but apparently they’re too big for my face. big earrings are too loud for me because my head is so small. so, i’ve grown to like studs and delicate dangles.

did i spell that correctly? NEOSPORINE (sp?) i am three months late of changing my earrings, but i FINALLY got new earrings in my holes. the studs are a lot thicker. my good friend recommended that i lubricate the needle with neosborine so that it can slide through easier…and it did. i am so happy now.
my sense receptors are really sensitive, so i have a really low tolerance for pain. though i’ve overcome the fear of getting my blood drawn, i couldn’t manage to face the ear-piercing experience. over the years i saved up earrings that were given to me as gifts. i couldn’t wait to wear them.
for 11 years, everyone told me that there was NO PAIN involved, that you only feel “a pinch.” someone else told me it felt like plucking one eyebrow hair for the very first time.
finally the day after my 23rd birthday my friend took me to brea mall to get it over with. she and the ear-lady were the best coaches to help me through the process. i’m really glad they were so understanding of an adult who didn’t want to feel that split second pinch.
