But I can work my way through inner and outer joins, and I’ve even done some work with stored procedures in MySQL. I feel comfortable reading the manuals to get the information I need, which is a huge step forward. I’m marking this as done.
So it would be a really good idea for me to learn more than the very basics I’ve got so far.
ok ok, so I have the very basics down. On the other hand, I always stumble through the DBA phase of any interview. So, I’ve taken it on myself to grab a copy of “Learning SQL” from O’Reilly and working my way through it. That way I won’t shame myself in interviews anymore. Not database interviews, at least.
