Peter Siebel’s “Practical Common Lisp” is really good so far. I’m only on chapter 3 (“Practical: A Simple Database”), but I’m already having a lot more fun than I did while trying to work through the Paul Graham book. I’ll probably try to tackle Graham’s “ANSI Common Lisp” after this, but only because I promised to read all of my programming books.
Which, admittedly, will be hard if I keep buying new ones.
