I've done it before

Having a fair amount of food set aside is generally a good idea. It’s easy to shop for the week, and that’s probably the best idea for things like fresh fruits and veggies and meat. Still, our supplies of more durable goods (pastas, canned goods, etc) ended up making life a lot easier during the last couple of years, which have been a serious financial challenge. It’s the whole feast-or-famine thing of working in IT, I guess. Unfortunately, our stock is quite low these days. I would like to put together a food plan and get the food inventory back up where it needs to be.
