I had so much fun and learned so much about both myself and the world around me. I would definately recommend doing this to anyone who is thinking about it :)

5 days into it  — 12 months ago

and I’m loving it! Currently in Amsterdam. I’ve met some amazing people and seen some amazing things and I still have almost the whole trip to go.
Definately do it if you’re considering it. And it’s easy to live on a budget. Buy groceries and make your own food, pick and choose the attractions you pay for. So far it hasn’t been too bad anyway :) I’ll let you know what the grand total is at the end.

July 5th  — 1 year ago

I fly to Paris, from there the plan is Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Venice, Rome, Interlaken, Munich, back to Paris. Then I’m flying to Glasgow to meet my family who are going to be there for a week and a half.
Can’t wait!

Question:  — 1 year ago

Ok my flight is booked, and now I’m trying to decide how to get around Europe.
My choices are:
Eurailpass – maximum flexibility and independence, possibly more stress
Busabout tours – more structured than eurailpass, takes you straight to the hostels but there are a limited amount of departures
Contiki tours – pretty much everything is taken care of you, but you have days free to do whatever.

Flight is booked!  — 1 year ago

Now I just need to get my Busabout pass, figure out accomodation (I’ll book the hostels ahead of time if it’s usually really busy) and I’m set :)

I bought a travel book today: Let’s Go – Europe on a budget.
I’m getting really excited. And I think I’ve decided to take at least 4 weeks for myself (all of July) and then meet family in Scotland for two weeks (with a trip to Ireland in there somewhere). So 6 weeks altogether. I’m going to start working out a budget to see if this is actually doable, then I’ll actually book the flights :)

I'm definately going to Scotland  — 1 year ago

I’d love to travel around more… in the next few weeks I’m going to try to start planning finances and see how long I can take off this summer

August  — 1 year ago

In August I’m going to Scotland with my family. I’m going to spend a couple extra weeks there and just travel around… I’m not sure how far I’ll make it. But it should be a good time nonetheless!
