I sent out a short story to three online magazines a month or so ago and I just got rejection number one… I don’t really expect that one to get published, but in a way, hearing back has given me motivation to try with others.
I just have to keep up that motivation.

The frustrating thing about this goal is that it takes forever to find out if you’re making any progress. I’ve sent several things out, but I won’t know until August. And chances are nothing will come of this first round.
I’ll just keep plugging away at it.
