The first time I did this, I powered thru a 90 day NIV in like 150 days. Taking a 2nd pass, with my wife this time, using a yearlong esv that gives some OT, NT, Psalsms, and Proverbs each day. Hopefully we grow in faith together as a result.

After reading the whole thing on paper, I did the new testament audio style, via an mp3 CD. Listening to this while driving is interesting, a good way to pass the time on a longer drive.
I finished this once, I completed the 90 day NIV in a bit more than 90 days. I’m thinkin I’ll do a chronological next, a little slower this time, probably a year.
Finished this up last weekend, I’m stoked to have made it through. Now, at sermons, when scripture is discussed, I’m likely to have heard it before and remember it better.
I am close to completion now, reading through the letters. I am in I Corinthians now, it feels awesome to have done this for him.
I finished the much longer Old Testament a couple days ago, reading thru Matthew now.
My boss was on vacation, I worked mucho hours for awhile. He is back now, so I have resumed as of a few days ago. Just finished the Song of Solomon tonight, that and proverbs are awesome lifeguides.
I started the first of the year and am now in Psalms. I don’t expect to learn everything the first time through, I just want familiarity with stories and people so when I hear it next it’ll be the second time, not the first.
Up to 2 Samuel now, it is unbelievable how short term the Old Testament folks attention span was.
