I signed up at the YMCA a few weeks ago and I’ve been going almost every day. I usually only skip one day a week. I LOVE it! It feels SO good to push myself and accomplish my goals. When I first started I could burn between 340-370 if I did the elliptical for 30 minutes. I gradually pushed myself to go faster so I could burn more calories and last night I burned 508 calories! And that was just for 30 minutes on the elliptical. I also did the treadmill for 30 minutes and burned 270 on that.
This is great. I’m really optimistic about this and about losing weight. I hope I can keep this up!

I haven’t been on this site in forever. Kind of fell off the wagon for awhile but I joined a gym and I’ve been going almost every day with my friend. It’s really awesome, I love it.

I kind of got off track with and it makes me feel terrible. My stupid state has had an uncharacteristically cold/harsh winter and I stopped going out to the track. I know that’s not an excuse though. I know that walking outside isn’t the only way to exercise, it just so happens to be pretty enjoyable for me. But oh well..I need to find something else I can do in the mean time.

personal family issues kept me from doing this a couple days and then i got sick. i’m still sick but today is the first day i feel slightly better.
if i feel ok tomorrow i would really like to go walking or do the bike or something.

and i guess maybe i will try the stationary bike. its been getting colder here and it looks like its going to be cold the rest of this week. i dont really like the bike…and its loud but i guess i will try it



really frustrated 23 months ago

i want to do more but my body wont let me. ive been getting these really bad cramps/pains in my ankles when i try to jog. it hurts so bad and it feels like the muscles are cramping up to where its hard to even walk afterwards. but the rest of me really wants to jog and enjoys it. i hate this, cause now just walking feels really lame and i dont feel as good about myself. dont know what to do.



a little dissapointed 23 months ago

wednesday night we had a cold front move in and it was sleeting/snowing sort of. i still really wanted to go walking/jogging and i thought it would be ok since i get really hot after exercising for awhile. but it wasn’t good. i was freezing, couldn’t feel my legs or my hands and the wind was whipping my face and knocking my headphones out of my ears. it wasn’t good. i was only out there for about 10 minutes. oh and i also started to get a really bad cramp in my left leg…in the front though not the calf.
last night the temp was in the teens but there was no precipitation so my sister and i went out to the track with gloves and hats and walked around. that was also dissapointing. i tried to jog again but that horrible cramp came back almost immediately. it hurt so bad that it was even hard to just walk with it. i tried looking it up online and i guess cramps are pretty normal for beginners but it didn’t offer any advice on how to deal with it.
i guess i can just keep walking for now but that sucks. i really want to do more.



last night 23 months ago

went walking again and once again i jogged as much as i could along the way. which isn’t alot because i’m overweight and out of shape but like i said i did what i could. also my sister went again this time and she’s alot faster than me so i kept trying to catch up to her and i feel like i pushed myself harder last night than i ever have and it felt really good!

i keep thinking to myself one day i will be able to jog around the entire track. i have no idea how long it will be before i can do that but someday…

this time i jogged as much as i could along the way! it felt really great. yayyy :D

walked 3 miles today…i felt like i had the energy to walk around the track one more time but my feet were killing me…my tennis shoes are old and a little too small so they gave me blisters.
sorry that’s gross but anyway…
i think it’s time to invest in some better shoes
