Writing – For me, writing is just fun. The prospect of writing for a living is heavenly.
Being wrong – For the longest time, I didn’t like Steve Spurrier. Then he does something great.

So, I’ve been fighting a cold over the last few days, and have not had the chance to spend much time online, so this should catch me up:
04/10/2007 Taking my dogs for a walk – I love getting outside with them and running off their seemingly endless supply of energy.
04/11/2007 Being sick – Ok, so being sick in itself really doesn’t make me all that happy, but I know that some day, hopefully some day soon, I will wake up feeling better and when I do, I’ll really appreciate feeling good.
04/12/2007 Living in a small town – I spent this evening at the local Chamber of Commerce dinner and it reminded me of how much I love living in a small town, surrounded by people that really do care about you.
It’s just so nice to be able to sleep in until noon on my day off. Sure, I could be doing more productive things, but why?
I am not much of one for taking any type of medicines, but if it were not for the chemicals I willingly ingested earlier, I would be a slimy ball of snot and sneezes right now. With it, I am almost human.
Even though I really do like my job, I still wouldn’t spend so much time there if they didn’t pay me, so today’s thing that makes me happy is pay day.
I’m a real Discovery Channel whore. My favorite is Deadliest Catch, followed closely by Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. And I’m loving Planet Earth.
So, the number nine thing that makes me happy is my job. I like the fact that I have a job I really enjoy, and not one that I just do to get paid.
Haven’t had a chance to connect for a couple days, but the list of this that make me happy continued to grow. Just to catch you up:
04/02/2007 Spring!
04/03/2007 Skyline Chili – Got the chance to eat a Skyline Chili. Two Skyliners and a 5-Way. Whoo-hoo!
04/04/2007 Late snow falls – I really am ready for spring, and the last couple days have been beautiful, but I still really love snow, too.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like day after day of rain, but today I was planning on working outside all day, doing things that I really wasn’t looking forward to doing. The rain not only made it easy to sleep in a little, now I don’t have to do everything I didn’t want to do to begin with.
The fourth item on my list of 365 things that makes me happy is the song “Soul Finger” by the Bar-Kays. I was at work today and it came on the radio, and I hadn’t hear it in years, but I just kept thinking about the movie “Spies Like Us” where the Soviet soldiers are all sitting around a thermo-nuclear missile, having a party and listening to that song. It didn’t really make me laugh when I saw it as a kid, but I see the humor in it now. Classic.
