learn survival skills

I have to admit that when we decided to move out here for the season I really didn’t know that much about her. Aside from the fact that we had the same sense of humor, and I figured since we’d be living together probably the less I knew the better. But she really is an interesting person. Not only does she hike but she is going to be applying a school specializing in mountaineering(if that is a word) I think that if I learn anything anytime soon, she’ll be teaching me. We’re going to do some hiking out here before we head back to the flatland of Ontario, so we shall see.

I don’t think I’ll ever encounter a bear unless its at the zoo. But practical survival skills would be something interesting to learn. I’m a city girl that has never really camped before but Ive seen the movies where the plane crashes and scared me did they ever. Considering the way I pack for vacations I don’t think I’ll make it on lipgloss alone, so I’m interested in alternate resources, you know, just in case.
