Throwing My Hat in the Ring

For some time I have thought about writing a stage play based on an historical figure and using an autobiography as a foundation. This is not nearly as creative as the work the other participants in this goal are undertaking, but then this is my first play and I am lazy. The idea appeals to me because of my belief that autobiography is just another form of fiction. I thought about starting with Gandhi’s “My Experiments in Truth” or Custer’s “My Life on the Prairie” but finally settled on Albert Speers’ “Inside the Third Reich”. It’s a lighthearted subject I’ll admit but on the plus side there is no way they can cast Robin Williams in the lead.
