The sun actually shined yesterday well into the evening. I busted a move to get home and into my gardening clothes.
I had ordered a few plants from Spring Hill Nursery that arrived over the weekend. So it was into the ground with the Purple Wintercreeper and Irish Moss. So pretty!
Also cut back a few of the overgrown items in other places. Cut down the tall phlox stems from last year. Man, those are hefty sticks for a flowering plant. Discovered some plants I didn’t know I had, too. I have a ROSE! It’s small and will need staked. And then there were 3 new things that I couldn’t identify. We’ll see what they do!
The husband mowed the back yard… it looks so beautiful now!

Well, spring at least stopped by briefly yesterday. Apparently we are going to get about 3 inches of snow/ice tomorrow. G.r.e.a.t.
Hubby put crabgrass preventive on the lawn. That took a whopping 10 minutes, I think.
I whacked (we watched the Sopranos last night, can you tell?) some dandelions in one flower bed yesterday. Cleared out some leaves and dead plant matter. And fertilized the pansies that lived through the winter. Got up close and personal with all the plants that I have no idea what they are. It’s going to be an adventure of a spring/summer/fall, I tell ya.
I have tons of daffodils, for which I am most thankful. They are the harbingers of spring, don’t you think? (My neighbor has some crocuses that are in full bloom – I’m mildly jealous… so on my list for next year!)
