I just discovered The Chocolate Alchemist at one of my local shops. Rather than a long description, I shall quote the website:
We are a new company operating from a small factory in Sussex and our aim is to excite the minds and tastebuds of all you chocoholics out there!
They do very evil products like slices of dried mango dipped in dark chocolate. Be warned: it is extremely addictive!

Just for the record, some more shops in London:
Time to go to bed, I’ve seen enough chocolate for an evening.

Here are my favourites from different places in Europe (warning: links to disturbing photos below):
- Leonidas, Belgium
- Histoire de Chocolat, a local artisan in my home town: Brest, Brittany, France
- Lindt, Switzerland
- CĂ´te d’Or, Belgium
- Toblerone, Switzerland
- The small family factory I visited once in Epernay, France, that does Champagne cork shaped chocolates filled with Champagne liqueur: yum!
- Green & Black’s, Fair Trade organic chocolate, United Kingdom
- La Maison du Chocolat, France
- Bendicks, United Kingdom
- Neuhaus, Belgium
I know there are very nice chocolates in other countries like Holland, Germany or Italy but can’t remember any name tonight. This is probably best, I wouldn’t want anybody to faint after so much chocolate porn.
I could also mention Cadbury but they are not one of my favourites.
