While English is my first language – much of the writing I do is destined for the web, where for the majority of people English is a second or third language. Having an extremely well-written article that can only be fully understood by a small minority of your potential audience just seems a bit silly to me. So, how do you write intelligently for people who have limited command of your language – while not annoying people who speak it fluently?
