I realised this morning while meditating, that becoming aware of my thoughts is very important. All my actions and speech originate with how I ‘see’ things or think about my life.
When you’re more aware of how and of what you are thinking, then you can change those thoughts that bring you down or waste time for better ones.

Today I am going to remember that I can’t affect how she will react when I ask her if she’d like to come out with me sometime. That’s not in my circle of influence. All I can do is be honest and positive. So I’m going to practice that now (I’m going swimming with her in a few minutes).
ahh, I love 43things! You can really be honest here, even if that makes you sound neurotic or otherwise weird. In fact, it’s the only place where I can completely open up, without reserve. Go 43things (and -thingers!)

about the thigns I can do something about, and being cheerfully accepting about the things I can’t.
it’s harder than it sounds, because i forget to think proactively and don’t always realise how negative and unproactive my thoughts are. half of the battle is staying aware of your thoughts..
