pay off my car

And wouldn’t you know, the damn thing broke down last week. It’s going to cost $1600 to fix it if I take it to someone. My husband can easily fix it, and it’s only a $30 part (mechanics SUCK!), but it’s so cold here and our garage isn’t heated, so who knows when that will happen. We got a new minivan (which we paid cash for) in the meantime though, so I think I will not be paying someone else to do it. I just have to wait.
But really, it is so nice to know that I won’t have any more car payments. It just feels like I can suddenly BREATH! Yeah, life is going to be good from here on out. 2008 WILL be a great year! (broken car or not)

The new loan company split my final payment into two payments, since it was both my final payment and a deferred payment combined. That was nice of them. So next month is our final payment, and this thing is paid off! Just in time, too. Looks like I’m going to have to put some money into my car. LOL.

We owe 2 payments on this, and our loan company sold our loan to another company? How retarded is that? Well, as long as I don’t owe any more than I already did, I guess I don’t care. The new company seems nicer anyway. They don’t start harrassing me 10 days before the payment is due, and they don’t charge me a fee for making my payment over the phone! Guess I’m the one that benefits!
I am so close to paying this off. I’m so excited. It will be nice to have an extra $500 a month.

We now only owe $1900 on it. WOOHOO.

I only have 5 payments left! WOOHOO!!
