Write a book of poetry and have it published

there will be 3 of our poems in the new anthology. Two of mine, and one of Nikita’s. I paid for two copies, so she could have a copy of her own. Not sure when they will be out, but I am really excited about it!

I’m so excited! I just got notification that my daughter’s poem is going to be published in the same anthology as mine! How cool is that? She is so proud of herself, and I am so proud of her too! (she is only 12!!) It really was a beautiful poem and I am very excited for her!!!

I just recieved notification that another one of my poems is going to be published in an anthology! I’m not sure how soon the book will be out. The first one took almost a year after they notified me, so I’m assuming that it will take that long again, since it is the same company. I am still very excited, though!

I have actually had one of my poems published in an anthology called Touch of Tomorrow. (if you happen to have a copy, my poem is called Shortcomings of Pen and Paper) I have the book, and aside from my children, it is one of my proudest accomplishments! I do cherish it, but it just isn’t the same as having your own book published. I’ve been writing poetry since I was probably 10. I have stacks & stacks of pages that I’ve written over the years! I just want, someday, to put it all together and have my book published. Even if it never sold one copy, I would still have my copy, there for me to say, “I did it!”
