List 100 things I love about my husband.

I love that he is excited about fixing up the new house. While I am doing most of it, and he is letting me make most of the decisions, he is definitely involved, and excited about my ideas, and even has some great ideas of his own. It is a great feeling, because with most everything else, I have to push him to get involved, and a lot of things he really doesn’t want to do. But this, he wants it all done, and is even excited about all things we are going to do! He is so happy about everything we’ve done so far. More than I thought he would be. He doesn’t even mind spending the money, which is huge for him.
Mostly, I just love that we have a project that we are working on together, and we are both excited about. I think when we are done, we are really going to love our house, for everything in it will be so personal.

He looks out for me. Last night we went to the casino with some friends. I won, so I had to go cash out my poker chips. Jeremy was going to go to the car, and pull around to pick me up. But he made one of the guys stay with me until he got to the front door with the car. Now, I realize that it may seem weird that this would touch my heart, but you have to hear my reasoning behind it. It wasn’t that he thought I would get lost in the casino, which I would, or that I would get lonely, because they all left me or anything like that. He wanted someone there with me, so I wasn’t alone, in the dark in a huge parking lot, vulnerable to God knows what. He wanted someone to protect me. I just thought it was so sweet. I very seldom think of myself as someone who needs protection, and I rarely do. But it’s nice to know that he is there when I need him, or makes sure someone else is, when he can’t be. It’s a good feeling!

He bought me a new stove and dishwasher for Christmas. We needed both for the new house, and we could’ve got some cheap used ones, but he bought nice ones, because he loves me. I have been working my butt off to get the kitchen done so we can move them in! I can’t wait!!!

He is buying me a new house. Well, actually it’s an old house, that needs some work, but I love it, and he is as excited about fixing it up as I am, and I LOVE that about him. We usually don’t get excited about the same projects, so I am really looking forward to working on this house with him!!

He always makes me feel like things will work out, even when things look really bad. I should know by now that the bad times pass, and the good times return, but I’m glad I have him there to remind me, because sometimes I forget! Here’s to good times with a great man!!

He fixed my microwave. I sooooo didn’t want to buy a new one. Not that I don’t want to spend the money, but I just love my microwave! I was so happy that he managed to fix it!

He such a can-do attitude about everything. When things aren’t going our way, and it’s really got me down, he’s the one to cheer me up and show me that things will be fine, and we can get through anything. When something needs to be done, he does everything he can to make it happen. He really is my rock.

He always comes through for me and the girls. I don’t know why it surprizes me, because he ALWAYS makes things happen, but it always amazes me at how he can pull things off like he does. The latest accomplishment. Making his daughter’s birthday a real birthday. We had planned on having her party on Saturday. But found out that a friend of ours is having her baby shower that day, and it is to be an all day event. Well, with everyone we know going to the baby shower, we knew that noone would show up to the birthday party. So we nixed the whole idea. I decided instead to have a private party with just us, tomorrow, on Nadia’s actual birthday. I was really unhappy about it, though, because I did so much for her sister’s birthdays, and I felt like I was cheating her out of something. Well, that wonderful husband of mine, he called everyone we knew and convinced them to come out tomorrow night for Nadia’s birthday. I know she will be so excited to see all those people there for her birthday!
It just really made me appreciate how much my husband does for us! He really is just the best husband in the whole world.

He got me a new bed. My old bed, although not very old at all, really hurt my back, because it was just too stiff. So he brought home a new bed yesterday. Not sure if it will help my back or not, but it is much softer, and I love him so much for caring enough to get it for me!

He loves animals. Today, I watched him rescue a cat. It was so sweet how gentle and caring he was. He found the cat out in my garden, with its head stuck in a tin can. Tried as he might, he couldn’t get the poor cat’s head out. Well, he managed to convince the cat that he wasn’t going to hurt it, and got it calmed down, but still couldn’t get it’s head out. Worried that it couldn’t breathe, we used a can opener to punch a whole through the other end of the can. It caused the cat to be able to see out the other side, and gave him some fresh air, which gave him a burst of energy, and off he went. My husband was worried that if he got away, he would never get the can off his head, though, so he chased the cat down until he caught him. He finally managed to get the cat to move his head in a way that there was enough space between his head and the can to get a tin snips in there and cut the can loose. He was just so happy that he could get that poor cat loose, and told our girls that from now on, they need to make sure they squish the tin cans before throwing them out so that doesn’t happen to any other cats. (although we’re pretty sure it was from the neighbor’s garbage since ours has a big heavy lid on it that was still closed when we checked)
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that he would do something like that for a strange cat that we’ve never seen before, but it still just warms my heart to know I’m married to such a caring man.
