She did so good at her concert. (both of them actually. Band and Chorus) I was so proud of her. She really works hard at both and takes them seriously. She is very excited about moving and getting a new band teacher, because she is hoping for a little more competition than what she has now. That’s my girl!

She loves to exercise with me. It sure makes it more fun for me. But it’s also great just to get to do something with her.

She was so sweet to her sister last night. Her baby sister was sick. I went in to check on her, and she wasn’t in her bed. I hollored at Natasha to ask her where her sister was, and she told me she was in her room. I went in to check on her, and Natasha said she heard her coughing, and so she went and got her and brought her to her room, so she could take care of her. I was so proud of my girl for being so nice to her sister and taking such good care of her.

This entry is for both Natasha and her sister, Nikita, so it will be repeated on Nikita’s list as well. I am so proud of my girls. They are such good sisters to their baby sister. They both worked very hard for their dad this weekend so they could earn some money. Well, when he went to pay them yesterday, they spent all of it on birthday presents for their baby sister. They are always so good to her, and I love them for that!

I love that she pushes herself. I don’t want her to push herself too far, but at the same time, I love that she sets goals and strives to achieve them. Her goal for this year was to make honor roll all year, like she did last year. Well on her first report card, she got 4 Bs. The minimum you can get to be on the A honor roll is 2. She was very dissapointed. The school did send me a letter stating that she would still qualify for the B honor roll, which I told her. Although it made her feel a little better, she is still unhappy with herself for not trying harder. I told her not to worry too much. She can do better next quarter and make the A honor roll! I am just so happy that her grades and her goals are that important to her! She is really a good kid who works hard and I know she will go far in life!

She likes to do yardwork with me. Today her dad & I were digging up part of the yard to put down some sod pieces, and Tasha came out and helped us. It was so great to see her get right in there and work just as hard as we were, and then volunteer to do other parts of the yard when we were done. She’s such a good kid sometimes.

I love that she thinks I’m pretty. She tells me all the time that I am so pretty! It’s one thing when her baby sister does it, because she tells everyone they’re pretty. But when Tasha does it, it’s from the heart, and it makes me feel good! It makes me feel loved! (because I know that I’m not the prettiest Mommy, and she doesn’t see that because she loves me!)

I love it when she is so excited to see me after being in school all day. Her face always just lights up the minute she sees me. (especially if I get home after she does!) I always think that she’s getting older and pretty soon she won’t want to spend as much time with me. So for now, I cherish those little things!

I love that she makes such a great impression on her teachers. We had conferences yesterday, and her teachers are all so impressed with her. Not just her grades, but her attitude. Her homeroom teacher told me yesterday that he thinks she is going to be something spectacular when she gets older, because she has such a great attitude about her work and her future. He was really talking her up.

Her little sister has a big box that she pretends is a toy house. Natasha will sit and play with her little sister in that box for hours. I think it’s just so sweet how they play together.
