have more fun

I’ve been making a lot of effort to have some fun! I try to accept most of the invites I get, mostly in order to get more, and also I had to plan some of my own stuff to get the ball rolling with my friends.

I am never going to be really done with this goal though.

On Saturday, I had a couple girlfriends over to dye Easter eggs. It had been a while since I did it, and some of them had never done it before! We had a good time, even though we missed one person, I don’t know why she never showed up, I still haven’t talked to her. We laughed and chatted and caught up. I hadn’t seen most of them in about a month.

Happy New Year! I was in my university’s LNYF performance last weekend. It was really fun. I enjoyed going to the rehearsals for the dances I was in and it definitely payed off.

I also hosted a birthday party for my boyfriend’s 22 birthday. I served lots of snacks and everyone was happy. It was a relatively good turnout and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. :-)

I went to my university’s Senior Prom at the beginning of the month. It was so much fun and I’m really glad I went. I felt beautiful and all of my friends were beautiful. We had an unlimited open bar and I got to dance as much as I wanted. My boyfriend even went with me.

A week later, I went to my friend’s Holiday Wine and Cheese Party. I was a designated driver, so I didn’t have anything to drink, but it was still a lot of fun. It was the last time I saw most of my college friends before coming home for Christmas yesterday. It was nice to get together and not talk about work or school.

I auditioned to be a part of my school’s Carnaval. I really wanted to be in Flamenco and I thought the audition went really well. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the cut. At first I was mad because they rejected me completely and I didn’t make any dances, and the girls that did make Flamenco were almost all Freshmen and Sophomores who have multiple years to try again, whereas I’m a Senior and will never have the opportunity again. But now, I’ve accepted it. At least I’ll have more time to do other types of fun things with friends.

I did Dance Marathon at my school on Saturday! It’s so fun, we dance for 12 hours as a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network. It was a real great time with some great friends dressing up in crazy costumes and grooving for a good cause. :-) As a whole, we earned $105,049! So amazing!!

I went to the City Museum yesterday with my boyfriend. It is essentially a jungle gym for children and adults. He was really brave and went up into all the tubes at the top of the thing. I was a little more fearful and only did things close to the ground because I got scared. But it was still lots of fun.

I get a lot of homework and I have to do a lot of studying. This really doesn’t leave me a lot of time to have fun. I do have a boyfriend, but he’s also busy and it’s especially not good when one of us is busy and the other isn’t.

This goal is kinda tied into the I need more friends goal, since a lot of the people I know don’t have much in common to do fun stuff together.
