Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

I took the 43 Things Personality Quiz and found out I’m aMoney Managing Lifelong Learning De-Clutterer

One of my hobbies has been photography for quite a long time. The urge to do it usually comes and goes with me. I’ll take a bunch of pictures for a month and then the next two or three I hardly take any photos. I would like to make it into a more regular hobby, try out some different kinds of stuff, and get more advanced.

I actually really enjoy bowling. I’m not that great and I can only use a light ball, but it’s so fun! My arm gets tired as well. I’d like to join a league at some point, just for fun. My family thinks I am weird, but I like what I like and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I definitely think one of my passions is dance. I love watching dance and not one day goes by when I don’t at least sway to some music. I don’t think I want to pursue dancing as a career, but I certainly want it in my life all the time. I need to find a dance class to take in the evenings/on the weekends. I am thinking belly dancing or hip hop, both are certainly foreign to me and they seem like a ton of fun. I’d also like to take tap because who doesn’t have secret desires to be a Rockette? Haha!

New hobbies?

I need some new hobbies. It seems that all I ever do is work, eat, sleep, and look stuff up online. Not exciting at all and I don’t know where my days go!

I like caring for things. I got an orchid and I enjoy talking to it and just being nice to it. I also chat with my dog as if he can understand every word and is my friend. He likes me a lot more than he used to.

It makes me happy.

Post-College and Post-Relationship

Now that I’m out of college, I no longer have any homework. I find myself with a lot of extra time and I honestly don’t know what to do with it. I used to do a lot of stuff when I was little. I’m just not sure what kinds of things I enjoy anymore. I also just got out of a 3 year relationship, so that is another aspect of myself that is different and I need to find out who I am again.

I already love who I am, but finding out new things about myself would make me even happier.

I think I’ll be able to figure out what I want to do after I find out who I am. Plus, I think it’ll help me make friends.
