4 young adult books
2 rereads
Not one work I could consider serious or challenging in anyway. Hmm. Will try to improve self next year but yay anyway!

This is a reread but I read it several years ago and honestly did not remember how or why the murder was done until the very end.
Such a fun book with such amazing language – everyone is so eloquent all the time. And who doesn’t like a story in which a smart woman goes off for a holiday of having hot meaningless sex with men… and nothing sad comes of it (well, murder, but not hers). A nice change from moralizing.
What a great book! Sure, I could see some of the pot twists coming, but I’m a bit above the suggested reading level. Very well written, funny, great plot and characters….. Could not put it down!
Probably the best book I’ve read this year. A book that when you finish it you say, “I wish I’d written that!”
I can only hope the sequel is half as good.
I love Gerald Durrell. He manages to write about animals in such a non-cutesy way and so insightful.
How much would I love to party with the Fon?
This book made me laugh out loud so many times. A great read.
I love Hermux. I look forward to reading this series to the chum at some point too.
I love Betty MacDonald’s books. This one was not nearly as good as The Plague and I (but really, what is?) but it got much better as it went on.
The chapter on raising adolescents was classic. Oh, she’s just so funny.
It’s October – I’ve read 10 books and have almost finished another – but I am not going to get to 25 books. 15 is still possible if I make an effort to read a chapter a night in bed – after writing in my journal.
Another decent into Meg Cabot-dom.
I can’t help it! She’s so fun to read. Gave this one to my mil as a gift and when I was visiting I saw it on the shelf teasing me. Read it in 3 hours. That should give one the idea of the depth of the novel.
Such fun.
Very interesting. He talks a lot about the fear that comes with things like rock climbing or downhill cycling or such and how you don’t overcome it, you manage it. That’s a big idea for me.
I really enjoyed this, while not finding it brilliantly written or anything.
Fun beach read. Mystery, trashy pop culture allusions, funny – tore right through it.
