go to the beach every month

The semi-traditional, after Easter brunch, beach trip. All the cousins were there and a good time was had. Cold but not nearly as cold as it has been.

We went out to find rocks and things for the chum’s 100th day of school project. The pebbles on the beach were smaller than I remembered but we still got a good collection of medium sized rocks.
Not too cold – we were able to take our jackets off after we’d been there for a while.
Portuguese Beach is one of the really dangerous beaches so we didn’t get anywhere near the waves which were quite impressive as the tide was coming in. There was water flowing part way down the beach from a waterfall / drainage pipe in the cliff face so we played in the stream. The chum wanted to play some game about castles and knights and blasters that is derived from Ben 10, which I don’t watch really, so we mostly ended up pretending to shoot things and then tackling each other and wrestling each other to the ground.
