i went swimming today!
monday i went but it was closed because of thanksgiving weekend.
but today i went and swam for about 30 minutes. i wasn’t really keeping track.
it felt good even though i wasn’t very focused and took little breaks to fix my goggles even if i didn’t have to.
but still, i’m proud of myself.
my next goal : to go again!



take your marks

checked the pool schedule.
have the list on my computer.
it coincides with my schedule so there are no issues.
that checks off a few excuses off my list.

the soonest i can start is wednesday.
and my current goal is once a week monday-sunday.



starting line

I used to swim a lot when I was on the swimteam.
Now that’s faded away.
I want to start swimming again. I’m always in a great mood afterwards. It’s also an excellent form of exercise.

I’m hoping to:
-lose a little weight
-become stronger, leaner
-find a new form of destressing
-return to my previous skill level or better so i can lifeguard next year.

The pool is nearby and I have enough free time. So no excuses really.

The plan:
Start out swimming once or twice a week for 1/2 hour or more.

I don’t want to set my goals too high and then give up.

Ultimately I would love to be swimming about 5 days a week or more for an hour or more at a time.
