...is one you feel entirely yourself with.
I have found one!
We can talk about anything, and be cranky with each other and goofy with each other.
It feels good.

This has happened and is happening. Several nice people, warm people, real people and I have connected, met up, laughed and enjoyed each others company.
Most recently though, I met someone that I instantly recognized as a “friend for life” person. I “recognize” her, and this is key. I smile thinking about the possibilities for fun and friendship and creative minds merging.
thank you. this i think can now be crossed off.
This one is scary.
Moved away from everyone and everything I knew about 6 months ago. No progress on finding a friend here. The big question: How does a married woman back in school with no kids find other women at a similar point in their life to befriend?! School is undergrad and although the “kids” as I call them are so sweet – they are concerned about drinking and socializing, not refinishing the dining room chairs and saving for a down payment on a home. I feel old in that environment.
So, i think the fulfillment of this goal will depend on the fulfillment of others (find a good church, volunteer) There must be chill ladies out there churchin and volunteering!
