play obscure (but awesome) cover songs in front of an audience

I was in the car just now, driving back from picking up a burrito, and Smudge’s cover of “Weep Woman Weep” was playing. I sang along, remembering how much I used to love that song and play it over and over and over. And then “Tenderfoot” followed. Evan Dando covered that one about ten years back. I sang along to that one, and thought it would be awesome to play, once I get back into playing music again (after I finish classes).
