Say "no" every time i feel like it and not feel guilty

So I have this freelance job and the pay is sooooooo terrible. My boyfriend insist that I complain to my boss but I’m afraid to do it because I’m afraid of confrontations and I’m afraid that my boss will think of me as greedy. So now I’m looking for another job and will quit once I get a regular job at a company. I know I don’t have to feel guilty for finding a new job then quitting because he doesn’t pay me right. We agreed on a certain amount and when payday came he still paid me so very below minimum, I travel for almost two hours in heavy traffic, spend a lot of money for transpo, and also my boss promised that I’ll be payed monthly instead of the usual per drawing that we do but then he backed out of it too. I hate my job and I will say no if my boss offers me another freelance work! No matter how much I want to work. I will risk my days finding another job!

Ok so I have this employer who pays half of the minimum amount I should be receiving. He says he’ll be paying more for the next job he have for me. I want to ask him first how much he’ll be paying before I say yes to his work but I need to do this without feeling guilty because I deserve to get the right payment for the amount of work he’s giving me! Hmm.. Getting ready for this.. I hope I find the right things to say so he won’t feel any disrespect coming from me. This is so hard!
