I have been taking lessons for about 3 weeks now. I discovered that it’s actually easier to learn to switch chords if I don’t look at the strings. It’s difficult, and I have a lot to learn, but it’s infinitely cooler than “Guitar Hero”.

Although I’m learning the guitar at the moment, I would also like to learn some type of wind instrument (tin whistle and/or recorder) that would lend itself to folk and “ren faire” music. Maybe violin, too, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself…
I’d also like to get a xaphoon. Sounds like a mellow saxophone, but easily portable.
I now have a guitar and am practicing some basic chords. In a few weeks, my official lessons will start.
