So my Mexico trip got cancelled. AWESOME.
So now I can either graduate a semester late, or go to Madrid Spain.
So I’m going to Madrid. And before Madrid I’m going to London. And after Madrid I’m going to Paris. And after Paris I’m maybe going to Belgium. And after Belgium I’m going to Poland. And after Poland I’m going back to Madrid.
I am really excited because it will be an amazing life changing trip. I am also not excited because this summer session was supposed to be about bettering my Spanish and my confidence in speaking. I already speak a Mexican dialect of Spanish, so now I will have to relearn Spain’s dialect. I think it will be pretty detrimental as far as confidence goes but I guess we will see.
Mexico isn’t very “abroad”, but this is happening. I can’t back out.
I am paying a deposit this week, maybe even tomorrow if I have the money for a month long trip to Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Its 90 minutes south of Mexico DF and I can’t wait.
I will live with a family and take 2 courses at a local university.
This has been 8 years coming. I am feeling so optimistic.
